Horse BC made several trips to Gateway 2 Ranch this summer to help with the production of a video designed to promote awareness of a unique new book titled "One with the Herd a Spiritual Journey".
Author, Liz Mitten Ryan, artist, writer and horse breeder has written a book that will change the way you think about animals and life forever.

The first ever "Reinin in the Sun" is now history! Hosted by the Sun Reiners, a chapter of WCRA, the show was held in Armstrong BC on August 3rd, 4th & 5th. A full slate of reining classes included an NRHA Derby, NRHA Non Pro Derby, 3 year Reining Stakes and Open Reining and Working Cow Horse events.
Show Chair, Barb Grimshaw and the hard working volunteers kept the show running smoothly and show announcer Ron Anderson, in addition to his special knowledge of the sport of reining and it's competitors, kept everyone in stitches throughout the weekend.
The quality of the competition was first class. One of the major awards at the show was the Billy Cook trophy saddle for the Non Pro Derby Champion. Judges Deb Witty and Don Burkinshaw marked a 143 score for the winner Wendy Williams of Stoney Plain, Alberta.
